? Online Craps for Real Money
Few casino games generate a buzz like the craps table at land-based casinos. This dice game can attract quite a crowd when a shooter is on a hot streak. Every time they hit a 7 or 11, everyone cheers!
Despite the popularity of this casino game, this game isn’t available in all real money online casinos. However, the best casino sites offer Craps online and mobile Craps. The best part about playing online is that an open table is always available.

Bonus Wagering Requirement
To prevent bonus chasers from driving them broke, many online casinos in Canada have wagering requirements and game weighting to the new players’ welcome bonus. Unfortunately, table games often don’t count for the full amount, so playing Craps online for $1 does not equal $1 of welcome bonus wagering. So, always check each casino’s minimum deposit and T&Cs for new players’ bonuses before starting to play so you don’t get an unwelcome surprise instead of bonus wins. The unused bonus amount will be withdrawn after a certain amount of time.

Almost all online casinos offer C$10 bonus money for new live casino players.
? How to Play
The Craps table is a beloved part of the land-based casino experience. And while playing online craps table might not give you the same experience as playing with others; you can enjoy the comforts of home while playing. But before you play online craps games, you need to master some craps gambling rules. Despite the busy craps table layout, it’s easy even for beginner players to learn to play craps games.
- Craps is played in two phases. The round begins with placing basic bets on either the Pass Line or the Don’t Pass Bar. The shooter then throws a come-out roll with the two dice created by a Random Number Generator. If they roll a 7 or 11, the Pass Line bets win. The Don’t Pass bets win if 2, 3, or 12 hits. If the shooter throws any other number, nobody wins or loses. Instead, that number becomes the point number.
- If the roller sets a point number, pass line wagers depend on that established point hitting. So if the shooter throws a 4, you hope that number is rolled before a 7. If a 7 comes up first, all Pass Line bettors lose and Don’t Pass bets win. The other three numbers (2, 3, 12) from the come-out roll don’t lose.
- If you hit a point, the round continues, and you can place new Pass Line bets. You continue playing and throwing the craps dice until you lose a bet. Experienced players bet several wagers during a game. A new shooter rolls the dice every round, the turn passing around the table.
- What about wagering? During the come-out roll, always place a Pass Line bet, which has a better chance of winning than a Don’t Pass bet. Of the numbers a roller can make, 7 is the most common, hitting 16.67% of the time. With 11 (hits 5.56% of the time), your bet’s winning odds are 22.23%, meaning they have the best odds in this favourite game.
- What about Come and Don’t Come bets? After the come-out roll, these wagers function like the Pass Line and Don’t Pass but last for a whole round. You choose either of the choices and then the next roll determines the number you want to appear or not before a 7.
- With these tips, you can play craps online and place bets or learn about the more complicated rules.

The Hofftastic casino Wheelz has Craps, because it’s the favourite game of their face – David Hasselhoff.
Advanced Strategy
Mastered the basic Craps strategy already? If you’re ready to learn more strategic betting options and the game’s finer points, here are some more advanced betting strategies experienced craps players use. You must pay attention to the game when going beyond Pass Line and Don’t Pass bets, as your chances of winning are lower. Note that even the best online craps casinos don’t currently offer New York Craps or several tables of craps.
Free Odds Bets
The return-to-player percentage (RTP) for Pass Line, Don’t Pass, Come, and Don’t Come bets are pretty favourable. For example, a player wagering on these outcomes will get 98.6% of their money back in the long run.
However, the best way to narrow the house edge even further is to bet on any of these options and make “Free Odds” wagers during the point phase. These wagers have no house edge, aka “true odds”. You can make these best bets in real money games, aka no-brainer bets.
When you place a free odds bet with a Pass or Come bet, your RTP increases to 99.2%. When combined with a Don’t Pass / Don’t Come bet, it rises to 99.3%. And if the game allows a double odds bet, you can push your RTP to 99.5% and win big!
Other Bets in a Game
As you can probably tell from the layout, craps tables have more bets you can make than just the multi-roll bets we just covered. Field Bets, Big 6 and Big 8, and Any Seven are some other craps bets that are available to you but that we don’t recommend. So let’s see what other Craps wagers exist.
- Field Bet: Can be placed after the come-out roll of the dice; if the dice lands on 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 on the next roll, you win. Most wins are even money.
- Big 6 and Big 8: These two are sucker bets; you bet that 6 or 8 comes up on a dice roll before a 7. The house edge is very high on these bets, so we don’t recommend 6 and 8 bets.
- Any Craps: This means rolling the dice to 2, 3, or 12 next. Most players avoid these and look for better craps bet odds.
- Hardways: The shooter hits a pair of dice on the next throw.
- Place Bets: A place bet relates to the numbers at the top of the table; you can place a bet on the point numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 to come before a 7 is rolled.
- Any Seven: Bets that the shooter rolls a 7 next.
The 3% rule
Want to avoid significant losses at the craps table? Then follow what many players know as the 3% rule. In short, you should never wager on anything with less than 97% RTP.
Bad bets that violate the 3% rule include single-roll bets, betting on craps, hard ways, and hop bets. The worst offender is the “Any Seven” square – it has a dismal RTP of 83.3%, which means you are unlikely to beat the house often.
Exotic betting systems
If you’ve spent serious time in a casino, you’ve heard gamblers spouting off about their favourite craps betting “system.” Martingale, Reverse Martingale, Dice Control, and Three-Point Mollies promise more money.
However, as you may know, craps have a built-in (low) house edge. Unlike sports wagering, craps betting has a long-term negative expected value. Don’t be fooled – these systems may deliver big wins when you’re hot, but you can’t beat the house forever. Always seek your best plan or strategy to get the best outcome.

? Free Craps Online
If you want to see what the online craps games are about before playing craps online for real money, you can try demo mode on DraftKings. This is a great way to master the different bets and strategies before you venture into the actual casino game and spend your money.
? Playing on Mobile
Online gambling on a mobile device has become one of the most popular gaming methods. In addition to convenience, mobile app gambling lets users play wherever they want to on their mobile device. A game of craps is probably not the best table game on your phone, as the wide variety of info on the table doesn’t translate easily to the small screen. However, you can find the game for mobile devices on the mobile casinos we recommend. In addition, downloading casino apps from the App Store or the Google Play Store takes only a few minutes.
? Live Craps Online
Live dealer games have expanded to several games you can find on any gambling site, and now you can play live dealer craps games too. Evolution Gaming has recently introduced a live table through their First Person Craps. Several major Canadian casino operators have this game, which lets you switch from a software game to the live one when you choose to. Going live is fun to engage with other players and the dealer.
An honourable mention goes to Wheelz Casino, which hosts two kinds of Craps: First Person and Live Craps. Since the face of this online casino is David Hasselhoff (The Hoff), the casino site had to include his favourite game in their library. While Hoff enjoys Roulette, his number one casino game is Craps. He told the team at Wheelz, “I used to play a lot of roulette, but that Craps was something”. So if you want to gamble like the legendary Baywatch hero, you know where to go.
? Banking Methods
Before you can start playing, you must deposit money into your new account. In Canada, the best online casinos provide a variety of deposit methods for craps players. Deposit options on a cashier page may include the following:
- Debit Card / Credit Cards (Visa/MasterCard/etc.)
- Online Bank Transfer
- Interac e-Transfers
- PayPal
- Skrill/Neteller
- Money Orders
- E-checks
Credit cards, online bank transfers, and eChecks are fast and convenient payment methods for most. However, they may not work for everyone. For example, some banks ban online gaming transactions for credit card deposits, and some players require more discreet banking options for depositing.
How to Withdraw
After shooting dice for real money online craps, you’re ready to withdraw your winnings. The best casinos allow you to withdraw using the following banking methods:
- Online Bank Transfer
- PayPal
- Skrill/Neteller
- E-checks
Unlike deposits, withdrawals take time to process, regardless of whether you use the same payment methods to deposit and withdraw. Upon receiving a withdrawal request, casino management will take up to a couple of hours to review it to ensure no fraud. Once they approve your withdrawal, it must go through the banking system. You can ask customer support how long your chosen method takes, but fast withdrawals occur when you use the same payment method for both deposits and withdrawals.
? Other Online and Live Table Games
Online Craps is one of the best table games in Canadian online casinos. However, if you want to try something new, give live dealer games a chance. Live Roulette and live Baccarat and good alternatives to try. Both games are a staple part of brick-and-mortar casinos and are super interactive. And, of course, if you want to try something completely new, join a game of Monopoly Live!
