Third place on the list went to Alberta, with a score of 75.6 out of 100, while Manitoba took fourth place with an average search score of 61.4. In both provinces the most searched for eSports topic was the “Valorant Champions Tour”.
Saskatchewan and Quebec took fifth and sixth place, scoring 61 and 54 out of 100, respectively. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island completed the top 10.

The study has revealed that residents of Richmond, BC are the biggest Esports fans in the country, with an average search score of 85.5 out of 100. They topped the search term ‘eSports’.
In second place is Markham, OH, with a score of 79.4 out of 100. Markham residents are most interested in the ‘Valorant Champions Tour’.
Burnaby, BC, comes in third with a score of 74.3 out of 100. The most searched-for term in Burnaby is revealed to be ‘The International’, an annual Dota 2 tournament that takes places in September.
Close behind Burnaby is Waterloo in Ontario, with a score of 70.4 out of 100. Residents in Waterloo are searching for ‘eSports’ and ‘Valorant Champions Tour’ the most! To determine the most passionate Esports provinces and cities in Canada, BonusFinder CA used Google Trends data from the past 12 months. We then compared the search volume of eight different Esports-related keywords in each province and city to calculate the average search score.
